Calendar setup
« on: March 26, 2013, 10:55:38 am »
I am a new user. When I tried to set up the Calendar, I did not get a list of calendars to choose from.  The page is blank (except for the word Calendar at the top and a button to cancel.  I am using an up-to-date iphone 4.  Thanks for your help.

Hi Rick,

One problem that some people have is that when we first launch TM, it has to ask for "permissions" to access the Calendar.  If you said No, then you shouldn't even see the Calendar row, but maybe that is what's happening.  You will have to go to the Settings app and verify that under Privacy -> Calendar that you allow Time Master permission.

If that is "On", can you send a email with a screen shot to our support email so we can see what you are seeing?

Thanks for your prompt response.  On my iphone, I went into setup, and I do not see a Privacy link.  Setup gives me five options:  Database, General, Sessions, Reports, and Calendar.  I could not find a privacy link within any of them.

Hi Rick,

No, not in Time Master.  In Apple's "Settings" application.  Whenever an app wants to use things like the GPS, Calendar, Photos, etc., it must ask the system for "permissions".  If you deny them in the app, then the only way to turn it back on is to go into the system and turn them back on.

Just a follow up.  I asked Rick to reboot his iPhone.  After the reboot, the calendars magically appeared.

We've had a few really *odd* reported issues under iOS 6.  In 99% of the cases a Reboot of the device has solved the problem.  There seems to be some odd bugs in iOS 6, so when in doubt, try the reboot first.  :)
