Ability to copy description text while in a report
« on: August 07, 2015, 02:47:58 pm »
It would be really nice if we could copy the description text from entries within a report.

I would really like to be able to copy this text and paste into invoices as I am doing them instead of having to retype everything.

Thanks.

Carl.

You can Export the report as HTML or CSV and should be able to Copy from either of those formats.

Sure by why do I need the extra step?  I would just rather be able to copy directly from within the report.  Is this something difficult to do?

It would be way more steps going in and out of each single entry to get the text.  You are much better off exporting it and then copying from the single file.

Actually it is a pita to have to export the report first.  As I normally only export the report once I am finished doing up an invoice so that it is automatically as prompted "Marked As Reported".  The switching back and forth would not be as much of a pita if I could do it once per entry and copy it instead of having to go back and forth multiple times to retype everything I had previously typed.

I do not like to "Mark As Reported" until I have finished the invoice in case of being interrupted or a program crash or something like that.

Why has the ability to copy from the report been disabled in the first place?  What purpose dose it serve to disable this ability?

Carl.
