Once the project has been used on an entry, you will not be able to change the Type, as it is then "locked".  You will need to create a new Project code and set that to a Fixed Amount.

Ok, thanks.  This makes it a bit clearer.

I assume you can allocate more than one code per project according to how the charging type differs.

Can I have more than one code for each project?

I also assume you can add a different code within a project whilst a project is in use, depending upon how the work needs to be charged?

If so how do I add a code to a project?
and
How do I select a different code?

Thanks.

Sorry I guess I was not clear.  I should have just said "Project" not project code as there is a cold field inside the project.   So no, you cannot have different codes within a project.  You must create a brand new "Project".

Can I keep a record of how many hours I have completed in a project and use a fixed price on the invoice?

Yes, just run a "Report".  It has all the hours.

The "Manual" is built-in to the app, from the Setup page or you can download it from our website to view on your computer.  Go to the Time Master page, scroll to the bottom and download the PDF.
