"Real Estate" on the screens of a phone is very valuable. So... why is there an arrow to the right of each entry? It is pretty obvious that if one picks anywhere on the light grey area, it will open the item for editing... I think the arrow is superfluous and that space can be used for other info or a cleaner screen.

That is due to the built-in iOS control.  That is how Apple designed it, but since we "color" the "timer" area, it looks like there is additional stuff to the right, but that is required by the control.
