Items on the same invoice with different % of taxes

As a freelance, I love using On-Core Time Master and Billing on my iPad. However, I have one problem at the moment which is causing me a nightmare and this is mostly due to the fact that in Canada, there are different percentages of taxes for various items on an invoice. I appreciate the fact that I can set-up different taxes depending in which province I am working in.

However, my problem is when on one invoice, I need to charge 13 % tax on some items, 8 % on some items, 5 % on some items and 0 % on the rest. Right now, I can check the "taxable" feature for each item thus letting me choose between the 13 % tax or 0 %. However, is there any way I can choose a different rate for some of the items without having to create a totally separate invoice? This is mostly and issue with expenses.

Please let me know, because right now, it's an accounting nightmare to have to create separate invoices for each of the percentages of taxes. And it's a nightmare for my clients too.

Hi Dominic,

Sorry we do not have a way to have different tax rates on a "line item" basis.  For the 0%, you just mark them as non-taxable in the entry itself.  If you have to charge two or more different rates, then you would have to create separate invoices.
