Hi Guys

I've been trying to get the invoice module to show the task name against the relevant entry on the invoice.

I have the "Description Fields" set to "on" for the following:

Project
Project Code
Project Note
Task/Expenditure
Task/Expenditure Code
Task/Expenditure Note


The invoices display the following

Project: Project Name
Project Code: Project Code name


I would much prefer the invoice to display the Project Name and the Task name.

There is no change with the "Task/Expenditure" sliders on or off to the invoice created.

I have turned on the session notes to add the task details but this is not ideal as I prefer to use session notes for my own info and not to be displayed on the invoice.

Every item I work on has a Project Name &  Task name and it is my preference to display both of these items on the invoice.

I checked it here and it seems to be working fine.  A few things.  You probably did this, but many users overlook this so I just want to make sure.  After you made the changes to the "Description Fields", you need to tap Done, Done and then Save.  The changes are not applied until after you tap Save.  It will only show a Task if one is entered on the Time Entry.  You can turn the "label" of "Task" in "Description Labels".

Worst case if you cannot get it working, if possible, can you send us a copy of your database file and we can check out your settings.  Please email us if you need more help?

That is perfect.  You have that one right on the money.  You should use the Reference notes for the Client and the Session notes for your own use.

This should be working fine for you.  I was worried that there may be a bug, but it seems to work here on my devices, so unless you have something configured strange or some kind of weird issue with your device specifically it should be working.  If this doesn't help, please let us know so we can help you out!
