Quote functionality and ability to edit the invoice no's

I've been using the Time Master software for more than 12 months now and I'm really happy with the software and the way it functions, well done On-Core!

As a graphic designer/web designer, I generally need to provide a written quote to my clients. Before Time Master, I would create a quote document and then convert this same document to an invoice when the job is complete, adding in any extra costs such as stock image purchase etc.

I am now stuck in a half and half system as I am using the convenience of the time master invoicing module to invoice clients for recurring or non quoted items, and my old invoicing system for items which I have already quoted to save having to input to time master all of the quote details.

To have a quoting function within the invoicing module would be brilliant. Producing quote documents which then can convert to invoices adding in any extra items not quoted all in the one system.

In the meantime, the ability to edit the invoice numbers within the invoicing module would make my life much easier.

Hi Cat,

Yes, a "Quote / Estimate" module is on our "wish list" and it is something that we definitely are going to do at some point.   We need to work out all the logistics on how it will work and many of the new functions that we have added in recent versions (e.g. Fixed Amount Projects) are some of the pieces that needed to be in place to make this work.  We are getting closer.

Unfortunately changing invoice numbers is not a simple thing and that is not anything we are planning on doing.
